My First Christmas Craft for 2020

Do you love altering things to make new projects? I’ve been doing quite a bit of it lately. The Dollar Tree has so many things that you can make fabulous projects out of for only $1! This project cost me $1 for the cutting board and I’d say about another $1 for the paper and ribbon. I only used a small part of each.)

I started by cutting a piece of paper from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper and adhering it to the cutting board with Stampin’ Seal. Next, I cut some of the house images from another sheet of the same paper pack using the Home Together Dies. (There are 2 sheets of paper in the pack full of different size houses and trees. You can use these dies to cut them out. I love it when Stampin’ Up! does that!)

After cutting out some of the houses and trees, I adhered them to the front of the paper using Stampin’ Dimensionals so they stood off the paper. Did I say that I love that paper?!!

I used a die from the Pretty Pines Dies Set, which just retired. You could use the Beautiful Boughs Dies Set that’s in this year’s Stampin’ Up! Catalog. Actually, I was originally going to use artificial greenery on this project, but I didn’t have any at home and I just HAD to get the cutting board finished right then! I will use it on the next one.

I’ve had the ribbon for several years and never used it. I don’t remember where I got it, but thought it would be cute to use. The ribbon was tied in a bow and placed on the cutting board with Glue Dots, as where the pine die-cuts.

The whole project only took a couple of hours to finish. It would of been faster, but about 15 minutes looking through all my artificial greenery and about 30 minutes on the phone with one of my daughters. (It never fails…She always calls me when I’m right in the middle of a project!) I hope you like it! Please leave a comment and let me know.

That’s all for tonight. Thanks for stopping
