Gather Together Bundle with Rainbow Glimmer Paper

Hello Friends,

Don’t you just love this card made with the Gather Together Bundle and the Rainbow Glimmer Paper? I am so happy with the way it turned out!

I have been wanting to use the Rainbow Glimmer Paper as I’ve had it since the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog came out in June of this year.  When I Gather Togehter Bundle and Rainbow Glimmer Paperlooked at the big leaf die in the Gathered Leaves Dies Set, the glimmer paper came right to mind.  There is a matching stamp for this die, but I didn’t want to use it on this card. I didn’t want my large leaf to be smooth either, so I used the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder to give it some dimension.                                                                                                                        Speaking of detail, do you see the it on the smaller leaves, as well?  The 3 smaller leaf dies in the set not only cut the leaves out, but they emboss them, too.  I have used the new Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee Cardstock for them.                                                                                                                                                    The embossing folder, the ribbon, and greeting on the card front are all retired products, but any other would work just as well.                                                                                                                                                              I will definitely be using the Gather Together Stamp Set and the Gathered Leaves Dies for many cards this year.                                                                                                                                                                               Make sure to use the Hostess Code! The Hostess Code for the month of September is BQEUWTME. Use this Hostess Code when completing your on-line order of $45.00 of more (before tax and shipping) to receive this month’s Hostess gift.  Do not use the Hostess Code if your on-line order is $150.00 or more (before tax and shipping).  Just email me that you’ve placed your order on-line and I will send you this month’s gift, PLUS you’ll receive Hostess Dollars to purchase product out of any of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs.  This month’s Hostess gift is the Pearl Basic Jewels.  I love them because they can be colored with the Stampin’ Blends or permanent markers to make lots of colors!

By the Dock Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

Hello Friends,

I can’t believe we’re already in September! There is no change in the weather here in Florida and no changing of leaves to look forward to, but I am beginning to get that Fall-feeling. In fact, I’ve been making things and already started my Fall decorating!

I have more summer cards to share with you, but don’t know if I will after this post or if I’ll just begin posting my Fall cards.  I do want to show you a few of my alternative Paper Pumpkin cards today. The Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin Kit from July was incredible! I loved the stamp set and the postcard-type paper.

Paper Pumpkin Alternative CardsI didn’t want to make postcards, so I made 9 full size cards by adding a 4-1/4″  x  5-1/2″ card base to each one.  (I love to make the paper Pumpkin cards as the directions show, but I also like to see what else I can do with them.)  I used the By the Dock Stamp Set and the Mountain Air Stamp Set for one of the cards and I love the way it turned out. The background was perfect for this card. I stamped the dock and boat images with Black Momento Ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers – Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, and Soft Suede.  When I was finished with the coloring, I adhered the postcard paper to the front of a Whisper White Cardstock base. So quick and easy! The photo turned out blurry so I need to take a better one, but it’s too dark right now.

Have you heard of Paper Pumpkin from Stampin’ Up! yet? Paper Pumpkin is a crafting subscription kit that delivers creativity to your door every month. Each box includes everything you need to make a stunning project. You’ll be surprised with projects like cards, gift packaging, home décor, and more.

What’s inside the box? Every kit includes an exclusive stamp set, ink spot, and embellishments to create a predesigned project. At least six times a year, we send an all card kit with eight or more cards. Sometimes the kit includes cards plus gift bags, banners, treat bags, or boxes. Other times, it’s home décor, giftables, or just treat packaging. No matter what it is—we promise you’ll love it, or we’ll make it right!

As the autumn season approaches, prepare to celebrate with the September Paper Pumpkin Kit, “Hello Pumpkin!”  There’s so much to love about fall—some love the haunts of Halloween, many love the time to give thanks, and others love the changing colors and cooler temperatures. Whatever you love most about fall, September’s kit has everything you need to celebrate the season your way! Between a multi-occasion stamp set and enough supplies to design 20 cracker box treat packages, you can create custom fall crafts to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, pumpkins, and leaves. Whether you make them all the same or mix ‘n’ match your crafts, there’s something for everyone in this kit!  If you’re not interested in making the cracker box treat packages, you can make Fall cards out of the supplies. Fancy, Four-Fold Card Made With the Mountain Air Stamp Set

Fancy, Four Fold Card made with the Mountain Air Stamp Set

Hello Friends,

I hope everyone is having a great week.  Today is my great granddaughter’s first birthday and I got to spend most of the day with her.  She is getting too big, too fast!  She is sweet, loving, and fun to be around!  I’m so lucky to have 3 great grandchildren now!

After Everyone went home, I finished this card I started yesterday. Four-fold Card with Mountain Air

I just love making fancy-fold cards. This is the first four-fold card I’ve made and it was so easy.  It took me longer to decide which stamp set to use than it did to make the card!  I decided to use the Mountain Air Stamp Set and I love the way it turned out. If you’d like to see a tutorial, let me know and I’ll post it here on my blog.

Fancy, Four Fold Card made with the Mountain Air Stamp SetI just love the Mountain Air Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!  It is so versatile and even has matching dies.  When you purchase the stamp set and the Majestic Mountain Dies as a bundle, you save 10% on your purchase!

The mountains were stamped on a Whisper White Card Stock panel with the new Misty Moonlight Ink.  The trees were stamped with the Just Jade Ink.  Some of the trees were stamped directly onto the cardstock panel, while some were stamped on another piece of Whisper White and die-cut with the matching die.  The card base was made using Balmy Blue Cardstock with Misty Moonlight panels.  Both the greeting and the message were cut out with the Stitched Nested Label Dies.

Just click on the photos below to find out more about the products I used and/or to purchase them.

Coming Home and Trimming the Town with Stampin’ Up!

Coming Home Handmade Christmas Card

Hello Friends,

Have you seen the new Stampin’ Up! 2020 Holiday Catalog yet?  It is amazing! I want nearly everything in it! (Click on the catalog image in the right-hand column to view it.) I made this card with one of the darling new suites-The Trimming the Town Suite on page 25 and I think it is one of the all-time favorite cards.

Coming Home Handmade Christmas CardThe Trimming the Town Suite captures the feel of a hometown holiday with its whimsical imagery and coordinating trimmings. The Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper is full of cozy village and winter scenes.  Some of the images can be cut out with the Home Together Dies, as well as images in the Coming Home Stamp Set.

This card was so fast and easy to make.  I used part of one of the designer papers for the background and die-cut some of the images from another sheet of paper. The Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper package contains 12 sheets of 12″ x  12″ double-sided paper (2 each of 6 different designs.)

Each year, Stampin’ Up! donates some of the sales from certain products to charities.  This year, whether you purchase the Coming Home Stamp Set individually or as part of a bundle or suite collection, $3 from the sale will be donated to charities devoted to adoption, foster care, and infertility. Not only will you have fun using it, you will be making a difference!

Coming Home Handmade Christmas CardProject Recipe:

  1. Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 5-1/2″ by 8-1/2″, score in the middle, and fold for the card base.

  2. Adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock to the card base.

  3. Cut the piece of Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper at the top to 3-3/4″ x 5″ so the mountains are showing as you can see above.  This is the sheet of paper I used:

  4. Stamp your greeting at the top of the Trimming the Town DSP panel in Misty Moonlight Ink. (I used a greeting from the retire Six Sayings Stamp Set, but you could use any of your favorite Holiday greetings.)  Adhere this piece to the card front.

  5. Die-cut a Misty Moonlight large house and a large green tree from the piece of Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper with the matching Home Together Dies. Cut out the smaller tree with Paper Snips. Adhere these to the card front over the existing printed images on the paper with Stampin’ Diminsionals.  Here is the paper I used for this step:Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper

  6. Add several Snowflake Adhesive-Backed Embellishments to the card front.

Here are the products I used to make this card.  Click on the image to find more information about it and/or to purchase it.
