Autumn Gatefold Card Made With the Gathered Together Stamp Set

Hello friends,

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. It’s been a busy one for me, as usual.  With 4 grown children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, there’s never a dull moment here! I usually have some, if not all of them here every weekend. I’m not complaining in any way…I love having them all together with me!  We always have so much fun.

Gather Together Autumn Gatefold CardHandmade Gatefold Card Instructions

I made this gatefold card a few days ago, but haven’t shared it yet.  Gatefold cards are so easy to make and really make an impact on the recipient.

Directions:

Cut Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 2-1/8″ on each end to make the gatefold card base.

Cut another piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with the next to the largest die in the Stitched Nested Labels Dies Set.

Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper in half long-ways so that it each piece fits on the front flaps of the card base.

Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the next smallest die than used for the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. (This is where the greeting is stamped.)

Cut another piece of Whisper White Cardstock at 2″ x 4″ for the pumpkins.

Cut 2 of the 3-leaf images from the Gathered Leaves Dies Set out of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock.

Cut another of the 3-leaf images out of Rainbow Glimmer Paper.

Adhere the 2 plaid panels to the front flaps of the card base.

Stamp the greeting in Pumpkin Pie Ink on the top of the Whisper White die-cut label.

Adhere this piece onto the Pumpkin Pie label.

Adhere this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Place the 3 die-cut leaf images below the greeting on the white label with the Rainbow Glimmer one in the middle.

Stamp the 2 pumpkin images from the Gather Together Stamp Set in Black Momento Ink and color them with Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron Blends.

Cut them out with the matching dies from the Gathered Leaves Dies Set and adhere them toward the bottom of the leaves, leaving enough room for the Bumblebee Ribbon bow.

Tie a bow out of the Bumblebee Ribbon and place it at the bottom-left of the Whisper White label below the pumpkins.

Add 3 of the Champagne Rhinestone Embellishments above the leaves.

Stamp the bottom-left corner of a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the pumpkin image in Pumpkin Pie Ink and adhere to the inside of the card for your message.

Hello Fall with Another Gather Together Card

Handmade Fall Card by Terry Duncan at Classy Cut-ups Creations

Hello Friends,

I’ve been rather busy for the past couple of days and I’m sorry I have not had time to post any cards.  Here’s another fall card I made using the Gather Together Stamp Set, the Gathered Leaves Dies, and the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  It was made with a 4-1/4″ x  5-1/2 card base of Thick Whisper White Cardstock. I’ve cut another piece of Whisper White Cardstock at 4″ x  5-1/4″ for the embossed panel on the front of the card.  I only embossed the top portion of the panel, leaving about 3/4″ at the bottom for stamping my greeting.  I stamped “Hello” in Bumblebee Ink on the bottom-right of this panel and adhered a 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper above it.

The largest leaf image from the Gathered Together Stamp Set was stamped on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Black StazOn Ink.  Before cutting it out with the matching die from the Gathered Leaves Dies Set, I sponged Bumblebee, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, and Shaded Spruce Inks on it so it looked like a fall leaf.

Next, I cut out 2 of the three-leaf images from the Gathered Leaves Dies Set using some Rainbow Glimmer Paper. All the leaves where then placed on the left side of the card front.

A Bumblebee Ribbon bow was placed on the leaves with Glue Dots. Three Champagne Rhinestone Jewels were adhered to the card front and then I sprinkled a little Bumblebee Ink with my Water Painter on the paper and the outside of the card was finished.

Gather Together Stamp Set and Plaid Tidings

Gather Together Stamp Set

Hello Friends,

I hope everyone’s had a good first half of the week.  Here it is the middle of September already and it’s still hot as blazes in Florida.  If you are in one of the areas where all the fires are located, I hope you are safe and that your home and property have not been destroyed.  I sure hope it rains soon so it will help all the firemen and first responders fighting to keep the fires from spreading!  I’m praying for everyone.

Gather Together Stamp Set,This is one of the cards I made today.  (The photo is a little dark.) I’m using the Gather Together Stamp Set and the Gathered Leaves Dies again. I just love this set! I’ve added images from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set, and some Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  I have to tell you, I’m having a very difficult time using this paper.  I love the colors and plaids on both sides of the paper and don’t want to cut up any of it!  It is perfect for Fall and Christmas.  I will definitely being purchasing another paper pack before the Holiday Catalog ends.        The card base is made out of a 5-1/2″ by 8-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, folded and scored in the middle. I placed a 4″ by 5-1/4″ piece of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper to the left side of the card base so that the sides are even. Next, I embossed a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with a retired brick-looking embossing folder.  (Stampin’ Up! now has a new 3-D folder called the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder.)  I sponged around the edges of it with Rich Razzleberry Ink and adhered it to the left side of the card base, as well.

I inked up the middle of the tree stump image from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set with Cinnamon Cider, stamped it on Whisper White Cardstock, and cut it out with my Paper Snips.  It was then glued onto the right side of the embossed panel.  The largest leaf in the Gather Together Stamp Set was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White in Black StazOn Ink.  I used Sponge Daubers to apply Rich Razzleberry, Bumblebee, Pumpkin Pie, and Shaded Spruce Inks onto it and then cut it out with the matching die.  Two of the smaller leaf images were also cut out of Shaded Spruce Cardstock with the matching dies from the Gathered Leaves Die Set and the tips were sponged with Mossy Meadow Ink.  Unfortunately, the wheat image from the stamp set does not have a die to match, so I stamped two of them in Bumblebee Ink and cut them out with my Paper Snips. It was a lot easlier than it looked so I was happy with that! Lastly, I stamped the greeting in Rich Razzleberry Ink and punched it out with the new Banners Pick a Punch.

After layering everything on the card front, I took my Water Painter, squeezed a little water and ink in the lid of my Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. You don’t need too much water-just enough to water it down a little bit. Dip the Water Painter in the ink and water and sprinkle it on the card by flicking the end of the painter.  Tie a bow with Linen Thread, add some bling and you’re ready to work on the inside of your card.

Highland Heather Sunflowers are Blooming!

Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set

Hello Friends,

Who said sunflowers have to be yellow?  I decided I wanted a Highland Heather sunflower on this card today and I love the way it came out!  I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and and the matching Sunflower Dies. The large sunflower was stamped in Highland Heather Ink and the leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz on Whisper White Cardstock and then cut out with the matching dies.

How do you like the Whisper White background?  It was made with the new Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.  It was embossed and adhered to a slightly larger mat of Purple Posy Cardstock, which was then placed on the card front.

The ribbon, greeting, and tag are retired now, but they remain some of my favorites so I used them on my card.  However, you could use any of the new ones on your card, as well.
