Yes, I have been missing in action here on my blog for over a month! I received an order for 500 Christmas cards at the end of October and have been busy stamping, cutting, and embossing since then. I finally got them all finished and in the mail to the company on Monday. I also have been keeping my 9 month old great grandson every morning during the week, so the order took a lot longer than it normally would. I love getting the orders for cards, but they do take a lot of time!
I have made a few Christmas cards to sell in my Etsy Shop, but haven’t had the time to write blog posts about each one. I will share some of them here and if you’re interested in learning more about one of them, just let me know. If you’re interested in purchasing any of them you can visit my Etsy Shop here. I’ll try to post more and get back on track as soon as possible!
I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! Yesterday was World Cardmaking Day and I attended an online creative retreat. It was so much fun and I learned some new fun folds. We had a little time after each presentation to come up with our own cards using the folds. Here is the first one I made. I used a retired stamp set because I just love this cute snowman. I felt like he went perfectly with the black and white Plaid Tidings Paper I used. Do you select the paper you’re going to use for your card or the stamp set first? I usually pick the stamp set first, but this paper was just laying on my desk waiting to be used. I love plaids, especially black and white! I used Real Red Cardstock to add some more color to the card. This card was fun and easy to make. I hope you like it!
I’ve used the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper Stack on many of my cards because I love it so much! It has 48 sheets of plaids suitable for fall, winter, spring and summer. It is also one of the designer papers on sale this month. You can see all of the papers on sale here. The other items I’ve used on this card are shown below.
