Gather Together Stamp Set

Hello Friends,

Yes, I’m so glad to have you in my life, whether you’re a real life friend, a blog friend, a Facebook friend, etc.  I value you all and thank you for being in my life!

Gather Together Stamp SetThis card is perfect for letting your friends and/or family you’re glad that they’re a part of your life.  The sentiment and the large leaf are both stamps from the Gather Together Stamp Set, which is my favorite Autumn set.  The leaf is watercolored with Shaded Spruce Ink and the new Water Painters and is cut out with the matching die from the Gathered Leaves Dies Set.  Don’t you just love it when the stamp sets have matching dies? I know I sure do!

I also used a piece of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper and a slightly larger piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock on the front of a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. It is wrapped with a piece of the new 3/8″ Embroidered Ribbon, a natural open-weave ribbon with rustic embroidered design.

Three Shaded Spruce Rhinestones come from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack. This pack of self-adhesive rhinestones has 140 pieces in Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, and Shaded Spruce.  This package of rhinestones are FREE this month as an online ordering gift. (See below.)

This is a really quick and easy card to make for letting everyone know how happy you are to know them!

I’ve used the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper Stack on many of my cards because I love it so much!  It has 48 sheets of plaids suitable for fall, winter, spring and summer. It is also one of the designer papers on sale this month.  You can see all of the papers on sale below.

Hello Friends,

I just hopped on to share a beautiful card with you tonight. I love the Gold Rings and this card is the first one I’ve made so that I could use one of them.Gather Together Stamp Set with Gold Rings from Stampin' Up!                                                                                                                                                                    The card base is made from Cajun Craze Cardstock.  The next layer is a panel of Very Vanilla which was embossed with the Old World 3-D Embossing.  The leaves and pumpkin images are from the Gather Together Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!  All the large leaves and the pumpkin were embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and ink was sponged onto them. The smaller leaves were cut out of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock. Once everything was adhered to the card front, I added a Bumblebee Ribbon, the Gold Hoop, and Gold Rhinestones.  I love inking the leaves like this. I live in Florida now and sure do miss the changing of the leaves. I usually try to spend time in near the Smoky Mountains in October so I can see all the beautiful colors, but will not be going this year because of Covid.  Hopefully I won’t miss going next year.  Get your Gather Together Stamp Set, the matching Gathered Leaves Dies, and the Gold Hoops so you can make your Autumn cards now.  Make sure to  Code for the month of September is BQEUWTME. New Gilded Autumn, Four Fold, Anniversary Card Tutorial with 8-1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock

Gilded Autumn Anniversary Card

Hello Friends,

The other today I posted a tutorial for a Four Fold Card using 12″ x  12″ Cardstock for the base.  You can see it here. I was asked if there was a way to make it out of 8-1/2″ x  11″ cardstock instead, so I looked online for a tutorial.  I couldn’t find any instructions at all for this size paper, so I decided to try to come up with a tutorial myself.  Here it is- an anniversary card using the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Mint Macaron Cardstock (CS).

Directions:

  •  Cut two pieces of Mint Macaron Cardstock (CS) to 2-3/4″ x  4-1/4″.  Cut one piece to 5″ x  7-1/2″.   Cut one piece to 4-1/4″ x  5-1/2″. Four Fold Card Tutorial

  •  Cut two pieces of the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 2-1/2″ x  4″.  Cut two   pieces to 3-1/4″ x  4-3/4″.  Cut two pieces to 4″ x  5-1/4″.  Make sure to cut the DSP in the right   direction if you are using patterned paper.

  •  Score the 5″ x  7-1/2″ piece of Mint Macaron CS at 1/4″, 3-3/4″, 7-1/4″ on the long side.Four Fold Card Tutorial for 8-1/2" x 11" Cardstock.

  •  Fold the 1/4″ score line and the 7-1/4″ score line towards the center of this piece of CS.  Place  Tear and Tape on each 1/4″ flap from the bottom of the cardstock to 3/4″ from the top on the left flap, and from the bottom of the cardstock to 1/2″ from the top on the right flap. (If this is confusing to you, just place the Tear and Tape from top to bottom on both flaps because you are going to be cutting the extra part off.)  Take the protective tape off the left flap and adhere it to one of the 2-3/4″ x  4-1/4″ pieces of cardstock making sure the bottom edges are even.  Take the protective coating off the flap on the right and adhere it to the 4-1/4″ x  5-1/2″ pieces of CS in the same way. This makes the inside of the card base.

  • Cut off the little rectangle above the panel on the left and on the right if you have one.Four Fold Anniversary Card with Tutorial

  • Adhere the 4 pieces of the designer series paper where you want them. You’ll have two pieces of DSP leftover for the back side of the card base.Four Fold Card Tutorial for 8-1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock.

  • Decorate all the panels as desired. I used pieces of the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper to decorate mine.

Pop-Up Cube Card Made With Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper

Pop-up Cube Card Tutorial
Hello Friends,
Here it is almost Friday again. You would think that staying home most of the time would make the time go by so slowly, but I feel like I’m flying on a jet plane the way the days are passing by for me! It seems like I just woke up and it was Monday.
This past weekend, I learned a new fancy fold for cards. I have been wanting to learn to make one for a few months now, but I’ve been putting it off because it looked like it was going to be very difficult.  Let me tell you, this was one of the easiest cards I’ve ever made and it took me less than 30 minutes after I decided which paper I wanted to use!  This card folds flat and fits in a 4-1/4″ x  4-1/4″ square envelope and it “pops” open when taken out. It’s perfect for displaying on a desk or shelf.

Pop-Up Cube Card TutorialThis post will be rather long because I’m including quite a few photos so you can easily see the steps to make it.                                                                                                                                                                            You will want cardstock for the base of the card, designer series paper, foil for the panel behind the designer paper, and several scraps of Whisper White Cardstock for the 4 tabs, the greeting and sentiment.  For this card, I’ve used Whisper White Thick Cardstock as the base, Brass Foil Sheets for the backing of each square of designer paper, and the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper for the outside panels (cubes) of the card.

Directions:

1.  Cut the Thick Whisper White Cardstock to 8″ x  8-1/2″.  On the 8-1/2″ side, score at 2″, 4″, 6″, and 8″. Turn the paper the other way and cut at 2″ and 4″ all the way down. That will leave you with two  2″ strips and one 4″ strip.

2.  Fold cardstock on all the score lines and place Stampin’ Seal+ or Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the 1/2″ fold on all three pieces.  Fold each piece in half to adhere the ends together making 3 cubes.

3.  Cut 6 pieces of the Brass Foil Sheets at 1-3/4″ x  1-3/4″.  Cut 6 pieces of the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper at 1-1/2″ x  1-1/2″.  Adhere the designer series paper on top of the Brass Foil squares.

4.  Fold the 2 small cubes down flat and place your adhesive on one side of each cube.  (I like to use Tombow Multipurpose Glue on almost everything because it remains wet enough for a few seconds so you can even up your pieces of paper, if needed.)

5.  Flatten the tall, rectangular cube and adhere one of the smaller cubes to the left side of it, making sure the side of the cube and the center folds are even, and the adhesive side of the small cube is at the bottom.  Adhere the second smaller cube to the right side of the tall, rectangular tube in the same way.  When the cubes are adhered together, the card base will open and look like this. 8.  Adhere 1/2 of 2 of the pieces to the upper portion of the card to the left of the fold and 1/2 of another one on the right side of the fold as shown in the photo below.  One side of each piece will be where your greeting is placed as shown in the right photo.

9. Place the other 2 pieces in the bottom portion of the card to the left and right of the center fold. It’s easier to place these tabs by sticking your fingers in the sides of the bottom cubes. This is where your sentiment will go.

Autumn Gatefold Card Made With the Gathered Together Stamp Set

Hello friends,

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. It’s been a busy one for me, as usual.  With 4 grown children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, there’s never a dull moment here! I usually have some, if not all of them here every weekend. I’m not complaining in any way…I love having them all together with me!  We always have so much fun.

Gather Together Autumn Gatefold CardHandmade Gatefold Card Instructions

I made this gatefold card a few days ago, but haven’t shared it yet.  Gatefold cards are so easy to make and really make an impact on the recipient.

Directions:

Cut Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 2-1/8″ on each end to make the gatefold card base.

Cut another piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with the next to the largest die in the Stitched Nested Labels Dies Set.

Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper in half long-ways so that it each piece fits on the front flaps of the card base.

Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the next smallest die than used for the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. (This is where the greeting is stamped.)

Cut another piece of Whisper White Cardstock at 2″ x 4″ for the pumpkins.

Cut 2 of the 3-leaf images from the Gathered Leaves Dies Set out of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock.

Cut another of the 3-leaf images out of Rainbow Glimmer Paper.

Adhere the 2 plaid panels to the front flaps of the card base.

Stamp the greeting in Pumpkin Pie Ink on the top of the Whisper White die-cut label.

Adhere this piece onto the Pumpkin Pie label.

Adhere this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Place the 3 die-cut leaf images below the greeting on the white label with the Rainbow Glimmer one in the middle.

Stamp the 2 pumpkin images from the Gather Together Stamp Set in Black Momento Ink and color them with Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron Blends.

Cut them out with the matching dies from the Gathered Leaves Dies Set and adhere them toward the bottom of the leaves, leaving enough room for the Bumblebee Ribbon bow.

Tie a bow out of the Bumblebee Ribbon and place it at the bottom-left of the Whisper White label below the pumpkins.

Add 3 of the Champagne Rhinestone Embellishments above the leaves.

Stamp the bottom-left corner of a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the pumpkin image in Pumpkin Pie Ink and adhere to the inside of the card for your message.

Order your Fall stamp sets, Dies, and Paper now and have some fun!  I use these cards for Fall birthdays, thinking about you, hello, Thanksgiving cards, etc.  Make sure to use the Hostess Code when placing your order!
