One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to blog more, but as you can see, I’m 3 weeks late on beginning. I hope this is not a harbinger of things to come! I’m going to try to post on here at least 5 days a week. This is one resolution I hope I keep.
I’m always asked how can I tell which colors go together. Of course, I say that Stampin’ Up! matches their designer paper, card stock, inks, and embellishments, which makes it so simple to decide which colors to use. This card is a perfect example.
All you need to do is select the designer series paper you want to use and look at the colors on it. Select some, or all of the colors that match it.
I just love this Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper available from Stampin’ Up! It’s simply gorgeous with the Night of Navy background and the colorful flowers. In addition to the print paper, I used the Petite Petals Stamp Set and Punch to make the half-circle of flowers by the greeting.
We made this card at one of my recent classes and it was a favorite of almost everyone. I have seen a card similar to this one and have searched high and low to find it so I could give credit to whoever I got the idea from, but couldn’t find it anywhere.
This month’s Hostess Code is MYNZPX2G. Make sure you use it when placing your online orders of $150 or less (before taxes and shipping) and your name will be entered into the monthly drawing for Stampin’ Up! products. (Don’t use the hostess code if your order is $150 or more before taxes and shipping so you can earn the Hostess Rewards.) Your name will still be entered into the drawing. Don’t forget that with Sale-a-Bration going on, you also get to select a free item out of the brochure for every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping). Your order must be placed through my online store or me in order to be eligible to win. You can call me with your order at (727)698-7509, email me – email@example.com, click on the product photos below, or click on the “Order Stampin’ Up! Online” button in the right column. Last month’s winner received 10 card bases in various colors with matching designer series paper and ribbon. This month’s winner will receive a stamp set.
These are the products you’ll need to make this card.
