I hope you are all doing well and had a great weekend. I spent all weekend Christmas Shopping with my daughters. I always say I’m going to get all my shopping finished and the presents wrapped by the beginning of December, but I never do. I just looooooove shopping with my girls and buying presents for all of my grandchildren, so even when I do finish a week or two before Christmas, I always go out and buy more. I know a lot of people hate shopping this time of year because of all the crowds and long lines, but I just love it!
I also love this card we made at one of my card making classes a couple of weeks ago. It’s just so festive.
The little white dots you see in the background are from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. I just love that stamp set! When I first received it at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference last year, I thought it was such an ugly stamp set. I knew I’d never use it because all the stamp images were dots and blobs! I thought I’d never use dots or blobs on my cards, but when I saw it used on several times, I knew I would definitely be using it a lot! The little dots image was inked with Whisper White Craft Ink and stamped on the Crumb Cake Card Stock base. The vellum snowflake was cut out with the die, placed in an embossing folder, run through the Big Shot, and adhered to the card front with Glue Dots. The “merry” and “Christmas” are from the Endless Wishes Stamp Set – A set of 19 stamps which can be used in many combinations to express your holiday greetings. I stamped the words in Tempting Turquoise Ink.
The ornament was stamped in Real Red Ink and cut out with the matching die. It was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A bow made out of the Gold Baker’s Twine was placed at the top of the stamped ornament with Glue Dots. I also added a strip of Tempting Turquoise Card Stock, a strip of Gold Glitter Paper, Gold Sequins, and a snowflake from the Frosted Sequins Embellishments.
It’s one of my favorite Christmas cards ever!
Have a wonderful day! Terry
