Christmas in July Cards

Hello Friends!  I can’t believe I haven’t posted for 6 days!  I have been soooooo busy with my Christmas in July Card Classes, Stamp of the Month Club cards, workshops, and CREATING FOR THE CELEBRATE SUMMER WITH CARDS AND PICTURES ONLINE CLASSES beginning August 15th!  I’m so excited that I was asked to create projects for this session with such awesome demonstrators.  The classes consist of 20 days of projects for 20 days (Yes, I said PROJECTS, as in more than one each day!)  There will be card sets, card set holders, albums and more.  The best part is that you can get these classes, including written step-by-step instructions and pictures, for only $20!  Just click on this image in the right-hand column to join the fun!

Online Card Making Classes

Now, for the card I’m sharing today.  This is a card from one of my card classes in July.  I took the photo at night, so it didn’t come out very clear.)  It is made with Cherry Cobbler (119685) and Whisper White (100730) Card Stock and the Christmas Lodge Stamp Set wood-123767; clear-123769) from Stampin’ Up!  This stamp Christmas Lodge Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!set is one of my favorite Christmas sets.  I also used a snowflake embossing folder and Christmas Lodge Designer Series Paper, which are now retired, but you can use the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder (116824), which is very similar and looks like snowflakes instead and any Christmas Designer Paper.  The image and the greeting were stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink (126966) and the snowy parts of the image were highlighted with Cherry Cobbler (125585) and White Dazzling Details (124117).  I made the paper ribbon across the center of the card by punching a 3/4″ strip of the designer paper on both sides with an edge punch that also retired this year.  You can also do this with the Scallop Edge Border Punch (119882) and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (119275).  This card was very easy to make!  After I made it, I remember the new delicious Sugar and Spice (127829) and Peppermint Sticks Scented Stampin’ Embossing Powder that’s in the new Holiday Catalog.  I will be using them for my next Christmas Cards!  By the way, did you know that the Holiday Mini Catalogs are not “mini” any longer?  That’s right, they’re full-size now and this one contains 40 pages of wonderful ideas, stamp sets, ribbons, designer paper packs, and much more!  If you have not received  one yet and would like one, please let me know and I will make sure you get one!
