Here is a sample of one type of tutorial you will receive if you join the Classy Cut-ups Creations Technique and Tutorial Class.
Double Dutch Card Fold
One 4-3/16” x 9” piece of card stock for the card base (I used Very Vanilla)
One 2” x 8-1/2” piece of card stock for the Dutch Fold bottom (I used Very Vanilla)
One 3-1/4″ x 4″ piece of card stock for the embossed layer on the top of the card (I used Certainly Celery)
One piece of card stock to fit the size of the stamp you are using to go on top of the embossed card stock panel (I used a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the heart image on it.)
Scoring Tool, embossing folder, adhesive, ink pads or Stampin’ Write Markers in your choice of colors, punches and stamps of your choice (I used the You are Loved Stamp Set)
Step 1 – Score the 4-3/16” x 9” piece of card stock at 5-1/2”. Set aside. This is your card base.
Step 2 – Score the 2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of card stock at 2-1/8″ and 6-3/8″. This piece will make the “doors” of the card.
Step 3 – Fold the outer panels of this piece of card stock in towards the center. They should meet in the middle like a set of double doors.
Step 4 – Decorate the 2 “front doors”. I used Rose Red and Certainly Celery Stampin’ Write Markers to color my stamp image. You want to try to stamp the image in the same area on both doors.
Step 5 – When you are finished decorating this piece of card stock, adhere the center panel of it to the bottom back of the card base you had set aside. At this point, you should have folds along the right and left sides at the bottom of the card base and a fold at the top.
Step 6 – The bottom edge of the top fold should line up with the top edges of the double doors at approximately 3-1/2” from the card top.
Step 7 – Emboss the 3-1/4″ x 4″ piece of card stock and adhere it to the top fold of the card. (Here is where I used Certainly Celery Card Stock and the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.)
Step 8 – Finish decorating the card front as desired. I stamped the heart image from theYou are Loved Stamp Set in Rose Red Ink (101778) and sponged around the edges of the panel before adhering it to the Certainly Celery panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out 3 flowers with the scallop flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) and added a Basic Pearl Embellishment (119247) to each one. They were adhered to the panel with Glue Dots.
Step 9 – Open the doors and the top flap of the card and decorate the inside. I used 2 other stamp images from the You are Loved Stamp Set and stamped them in Rose Red Ink.
I sponged around all the edges of the card with Crumb Cake Ink (121030) to give it a more vintage feel.
